Week 4 Lab: Tech Tip: Twine

Twine seems like a really cool tool. I played around in the editor a bit and it was really intuitive and easy to use. I liked that when a block was empty it displayed all the instructions for how to format text and make the clickable links.

I think this would be really useful for making a cool choose your own adventure type story. It would let me explore different aspects of a story within one entry. I'm also looking forward to learning more about the scripts and programming that you can do to spice up the story. There could be some rogue-like elements to add into the stories.

( Mute Swan by Yerpo) The Swan Maidens by Joseph Jacobs: Characters: Hunter, Youngest Swan Maiden, King Hunter: Is a creep. feels that blackmailing is an appropriate way to get someone to marry him. Youngest Swan Maiden: Needs better siblings. Should not marry someone that is blackmailing them. King: Needs to take better care of his daughters. Lost one and did not even care. Plot: Creepy hunter watches a bunch of maidens who have wing cloaks bathing and playing in a lake. He steals the youngest one's clothes. When the maidens want to go home they all get their clothes, but the youngest one can not find hers. The hunter comes out when the other sisters have abandoned her. He has her cloak but gives her his coat and tells her she has to marry him. He hides her feathers away so she won't ever leave him(red flag). They have two kids together. Introduction to Zeeshawn Beg

Hi! I'm Zeeshawn, a Microbiology major, med school hopeful, and computer enthusiast. I was born in Pakistan and my family immigrated to Oklahoma when I was just a couple months old. I still love to watch cricket. I can't see it live though because of the time zones it's always early in the morning. I had never really learned much about Chinese history, so this class really opened my eyes and helped me understand recent history. The book/story that affected me the most in that class was the Iron Child by Mo Yan. I've also been trying to learn to draw. The idea of being able to create something has really motivated me and especially being able to see great art anytime on the internet has helped fuel this. I've been using drawabox to learn the fundamentals and I feel like I've made some progress....
